Holi / Baisakhi Celebration:

Holi is the spring festival of the Hindus. In the spring season all the trees are filled with sweet-smelling flowers. They all proclaim the glory and everlasting beauty of God. They inspire you with hope, joy and a new life, and stir you on to find out the creator and the indweller, who is hiding Himself in these forms.

Let’s gather to shake off our winter blues and welcome the glorious Alaska spring season with this joint celebration of Holi and Baisahkhi.

A program of musical performances will be performed by the young people of our community.

When:     Sunday, April 5th, from 5:00-8:00 pm

Where:    Asian Community Cultural Center on the campus of Northwood Elementary School

Cuisine:   A Traditional Indian Dinner is being prepared by community members.  Pizza will also be available for the children.

To Share: We request families to bring a dish of mithai to the event, to share with their fellow community members.

Cost:        There will be no charge to community members for the event.
